The Balenciaga wrap dress is a good summer pick for the actress. We love the casual yet smart vibe. Paired with ankle length heels, and zero accessorising it makes a great pick for a glammed-up cross country tour.

Ananya’s sleek ‘too cool for school’ separates are the perfect alternative for a pantsuit. We love how the strappy heels match her cropped top! Anyway, cheery yellow outfits are the call of the season!

Ananya’s Misses

While we are a fan of Ananya’s other jacketed separates, this one inspired by The Simpsons is too juvenile for our taste.

Polka dots are a classic trend but even they are not immune to what can seem like a bit much. This co-ord featuring smaller sized polkas would have made for a much chicer outfit, we think.

This dress is uber quirky with the all over red chillies prints, but we are not a big fan of the bright red gladiator heels paired with it. Yes, they go with the outfit but there’s just so much going on!

It’s not a good sign that we only love the sequinned mermaid skirt in this ensemble. The ruffled off-shoulder top is bland and with this skirt, we aren’t really feeling the heels.

One of the biggest reasons we did a double take on this look is her faulty makeup. the foundation is too orange for her skin tone and those sneakers are doing the outfit no favours either.

Tara’s Hits

We are in love with Tara Sutaria’s smouldering dusky skin. Paired with some bright orange separates, the actress makes this risky hue work in her favour!

We won’t be surprised if mini skirts make a comeback in ‘college-girl’ fashion after the release of SOTY 2. Much like her character, Tara’s mini skirts are stylish, with this high waisted modern version being our fave!

IMO, a white top paired with blue jeans is one of the freshest looks we can pull on a budget. The ruffled off-shoulder bandeau top was a big trend back in 2018 and we have missed it.

As far as highlighter heels go, we are already fans. Tara’s seaweed green separates is a beachwear staple and we can’t wait to recreate this on our summer holidays.

It has been so long that we saw dark teal on a celeb that we almost forgot what it looked like. This OTT satin cocktail dress looks uber sexy on her and we are in love.

We love a nice monotone outfit in the summer, but not one that makes us blend into our surroundings! The clear heels do not match the already understated blush dress, and the shades simply aren’t doing it for us.

The neon trend is one of our favourite trends of the season. And while there are celebs out there doing it well, this outing from Tara is not one of them. The separates do not sit well with each other and this one’s a miss.

Denim on denim was huge in street style last year and we were a fan. But it is one of those trends that work in its original form and Tara’s fabric-lined update isn’t the upgrade we were looking for.

A print on print ensemble only works when there some kind of uniformity to it. The graphic printed tee would have fared better with plain shorts. We love the shoes though!
