Simi’s Steals: The Chic Rainy Day Outfit
One universal fashion problem for most girls is, “What do I wear today?” This question has the power to reduce us to a hysterical mess. Fashionista or not, nobody wants sartorial answers that cost a fortune. And let’s just be honest, you’re THE style star if you know how to dress to the nines on a budget. So I’ve taken up this Herculean task: Every Saturday, I’ll round up a budget-friendly ensemble for you, all BELOW Rs 10,000. Yes! It’s going to be an entire outfit — from head-to-toe — without breaking the bank. Quite a challenge, right? Scroll down to shop this budget ensemble, and don’t forget to come back every Saturday to discover an outfit that’s yet another steal!
Rain or shine, a fashionista will never compromise with her sartorial choices. And if you’re one of those girls, you’ll be more than prepared when it’s pouring in the city. Yes, it is a difficult time for us — dodging water puddles, cautiously crossing the road but still getting sprayed with scuzzy water, and those bad hair days (argh) — monsoon in Mumbai, and other parts of the country, is tough. But does that deter us from looking rainy day chic? No ways!
This week’s style steals is for those of you who want to look like a million bucks even when you’re stepping out in the rain. This season, I prefer keeping those denim pants and trousers away and flaunt those legs a little. So, I’ve chosen a cute A-line guipure skirt from Zara and teamed it with a cute modal top from Mango. I’ve added a longline rain cheater from ASOS, that looks pretty cool, and a pair of metallic flats (The Label Life) too. Complete your look with stacked rings from Blur, and lug that black envelope clutch by Mango. Don’t forget to carry that umbrella (this cute one’s from The Label Life).
