Priyanka Chopra has finally made her big Cannes debut, and it has proven one thing… PeeCee on the red carpet is untouchable! After years of hits and misses, the actress has established herself as a true fashion star worthy of all the hype around her. Whether she is stepping out in an innovative silhouette or playing it safe with a classic design, making it to the ‘best dressed’ lists is inevitable.

On her first day in the beautiful French town, Priyanka donned two outfits. Her official red carpet gown is a custom Robert Cavalli Private, in the shades of molten lava and the night sky.

The gown featured a classic Cannes-style thigh-high slit and enough blinged-out sequins to dull all the camera flashes. While we love this interpretation of a strong leading lady on the carpet, it is another sartorial choice that really floored us.

Apart from serving up looks on the carpet, celebrities also catch premieres of movies they support at the festival. To celebrate the special screening of the 5B film, Priyanka wore all white Honayda separates with a matching tiny bag. The outfit looked so smart and PeeCee pulled it off with such ease.

While the separates are too formal and fierce for the Cannes red carpet, we would have loved Priyanka taking the risk and donning something similar. It certainly did manage to steal the thunder from the actual showstopping gown!
