The Impossible Has Happened! Kareena Kapoor Khan Has Fumbled With Her New Look And We Feel Betrayed!

There are a lot of things that can be deemed perfect in this world. A sunset on the beach, homemade dal rice, a well-knit cardigan made with snug wool, are but just a few of those things. Another perfect being, for us, is Kareena Kapoor Khan and her spot-on style. The actress has come a long way from her asymmetrical cut-out crop tops in the 2000s and we are glad. The begum is one of the most stylish celebrities in the industry right now. Boosted with a great styling team, fit frame and ‘devil may care’ attitude, Bebo can pull off most outfits that she and her entourage choose. Her recent fashion streak for the judging gig on Dance India Dance has been a series of hits and, until today, it was unbreakable!

The actress was in town, yet again, to shoot for another episode of DID in an outfit that is SO NOT deserving of fabulousness. Bebo was spotted in a Prabal Gurung high slit gown in sleek blue and silver faux sleeve detail. Quite simply, the outfit does not fit Kareena and looks a bit shabby overall!

A visual representation of what happens when you get dressed in a hurry, the gown does no favour to the gorgeousness that is Kareena. We suspect the gown needed a bit of altering to fit the top properly, in the absence of which, the fall and fit of the skirt was disturbed. Also, is that a rip on the silver part of the dress? The original streamlined silhouette of the dress is lost on Kareena and we wonder why that is! Is it the unbuttoned slit or the windy day…we just can’t figure! Not that the dress is awful, it is impossible for a Prabal Gurung number to be that. But given how fool-proof and perfect Kareena’s other ensembles have been, we were a bit disappointed with this one. The lack of accessories (barring her wedding bands) and mismatched shoes do her no favours either!

We aren’t feeling Bebo’s hair and makeup for this particular look either! Granted, two fish braids converted into a bun makes for a cute and creative idea, the frizzy flyaways are too much to deal with. Given that Kareena’s hairstylist is loving the trend right now, we expected it to be a bit ‘cleaner’.

The only thing working for Kareena in this look is the gorgeous blue!
