We Are So Confused By The Weird Mesh Heels Shilpa Shetty Kundra Has Been Wearing Lately.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra loves to experiment with her style. The leggy beauty has given us innovative drapes, her unique saree styles have us wanting more. There is not a single saree Shilpa has worn over the past year that did not have a twisted pallu here or a notched pleat there. We love watching her play fast and loose with fashion rules and it always works.
That is where our anecdote ends though. While Shilpa’s original curated looks always have something new to offer, her latest experiments with netted stilettos has left is more than a little confused. Partly because they do not go seamlessly with her outfit but also because on their own, they are something that we will never buy for ourselves. I mean, we thought the trend of wearing ugly shoes was limited to chunky, multi-coloured sneakers.
Having to create so many original looks so often can get too overwhelming for stars and their stylists. As such, we keep spotting subtle tweaks in their style now and then. Either it’s at the addition of a belt with everything or with the type of silhouettes they pick. With Shilpa, we have a hunch that it’s the shoes and in our opinion, we can do without them.

Just this week, we saw Shilpa pair her ruffled and fringed Shivan & Narresh ruched dress with neon netted tie-up heels. The dress is cute and Shilpa looks smart in the one-shoulder style but those heels…no. The e-retailer Public Desire is knows for stocking some very quirky shoes, these neon ones being one of our least favourites. The ankle length heels also seem to cut the dress at the wrong length. Having said that, this is still leaps and bounds better than Shilpa’s other netted outing…
…a pair of René Caovilla mesh sandals worth, a whopping, 1.4 lakh INR! The beaded leather and suede netted sandals look so off! We were floored by Shilpa’s faux leather coat dress, but the peep-toe heels makes it look like she’s got a metallic rash on her feet, possibly from exposure to gamma radiation (*wink*). Call us daft but we are just not feeling these new shoes on Shilpa!
