Save Vs Splurge: Creepers That Are So On-Point!
I’m a bit of a sneakerhead myself. Which is why every time there’s a new drop, or amazing colourways that have just hit the market, or an awe-effing-some collab that any of the branded kicks get into, I immediately start raiding the sites and my savings, simultaneously. With me placing comfort over everything else, when creepers were back in fashion (remember Stella McCartney and Alexander Wang‘s Fall Collections?), I had a little #win twirl moment in them! If there’s one pair of shoe that you want for that oh-so-cool sporty chic look, then investing in a pair of creepers is a no-brainer.
Riri’s collaboration with Puma for her FENTY label hit the roof with fashion forwards, what with NYC punk rock style dominating her collection ever since she was first introduced as Puma Women’s Creative Director. The PUMA Creeper — the first style of PUMA by Rihanna Collection and Fenty Label — is refreshing, to say the least, with the platform ‘creeper’ sole along with suede upper. #Love. The platform rubber outsole, with ridged detailing and the PUMA Cat logo at the heel, makes it a statement-worthy piece from the word ‘go’. And what’s not to flaunt if you have Rihanna’s powerhouse brand name associated with your soles that are absolute fire!
While Rihanna’s creepers for PUMA does look DOPE, it’s going to set you back by almost 11k, and that ain’t something a lot of us would be pleased doing. However, if you’re so in love with these absolutely gorg kicks, we’ve got you (and your wallet) covered. The No Doubt creeper sole lace-up trainers pretty much hits the nail when it comes to style and comfort. And looks uncannily similar to the Rihanna creepers, only without the cat logo. So if you’re not that brand conscious, and believe in being a wise spender, then this pair from Koovs could just as well save the day!
This pair of trainers is perfect to team with a tee and shorts, just as much with a classic LBD. If you’re looking to master an effortless look that’s edgy and stylish, then this one is an easy pick.
