The one bag that’s a hit in the market right now is Chloé’s Kurtis. Made out of calfskin, this accessory is embellished with oversized brass studs on its body. Also, it’s got a suede flap top that comes with a ring detail, which is what adds to its sleek look. It also has a removable shoulder strap, just in case you want to hold it as a clutch. While the Kurtis is available in a small size, I’d suggest a medium-sized bag for everyday dealings. Also, the medium one comes in dark purple, a hue that adds to its luxe look. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t have to tell you that it’ll cost you a fortune; obviously, it’s a Chloé after all.

So I thank the sartorial gods for having blessed me with exceptional online sleuthing skills. I found a lookalike for the Kurtis, at high street brand Mango. Size-wise, it resembles the small version of the Kurtis that’s available at Nordstrom. But if you’re looking at the hue, this is the closest to the deep purple Kurtis. This bag’s got it all, with minor tweaks, though — a leather strap, the ring detail and metallic appliqués. While there’s no suede flap on this one, that’s just a minor quibble I think. Also, this is a piece that is as sleek as it can get. Now let’s just slow clap for me, given the fact that I’ve found you a super similar bag for Rs 1,25000 LESS!
