Rani’s Super Expensive Head-To-Toe Gucci Look Is Wasted On Bad Styling. She Deserved Better!

It’s true that money can’t buy you happiness. Another thing it can’t buy, a fool-proof formula to avoiding #FashionFauxPas. The world of high-fashion thrives on brand names…their price tags enough to get fashion enthusiasts talking about them. But even the biggest brands in the world can fail to impress if styled badly. Case in point, Rani Mukerji in head-to-toe Gucci!

The always classy Bengali beauty was recently spotted at the airport and she went the whole hog with Gucci…tee, pyjamas, and shoes!

Let us break down Rani’s super indulgent outfit, shall we? The classic white sneakers on Rani cost around a whopping 65k approximately. The printed tee around 48k and the GG Supreme print jogging pants were for  1.3 lakh. This puts the entire ensemble at around 2.4 lakh. Lord, have mercy!

So why exactly does this insanely expensive ensemble doesn’t work? Well, it hasn’t been treated properly. The joggers, while intended for a loose fit, are too long for Rani. Did she not want to deface the designer label with alteration? If, yes, we can respect that. As for the tee, a bigger size would have fallen perfectly on her. This fitted version only highlights the ‘too big’ joggers and boy does it look off. Accessorised with a beige tote, it is further killed what could have been a very interesting outfit. We love the shoes though!

Rani is an extremely stylish woman. Her sheer absence from social media makes the surprise spotting even more exciting for us. We love to see her slay in a saree or a beautiful anarkali. This styling of the Gucci ensemble would not have fallen flat with just a few superficial changes. We hope the next brand overload Rani unleashed on us is worthy of her stature!

On the work front, Rani is currently shooting for Mardaani 2. Directed by Gopi Puthran, it is the sequel to her 2014 film Mardaani. Rani will be reprising the role of a Mumbai police cop who gets embroiled in a sex trafficking controversy. We are quite excited to see her take the mantle of a hard-hitting cop once again and are sure she will slay it the second time around as well!
