Deepika Padukone, who has been going out for the promotions of her upcoming film Chhapaak where she plays an acid attack survivor, has also been actively promoting it on social media. Releasing vlog videos, which seem like a culmination of behind the scenes from the movie and calling it #Dpisms, the actress shares small episodes of the madness and hardwork that went behind in shooting Chhapaak. And what caught our eye recently (a pun you’d later understand), was the third episode of the series that was directed at Priya Varrier.
The 20 year old South Indian actress, Priya Prakash Varrier who rose to fame after her iconic eyebrow dance and wink in the movie Oru Adaar Love, was recently challenged by the Bollywood queen Deepika Padukone in a cheeky #DPisms video. Enacting the wink while looking at the camera along with Meghna Gulzar in the frame, and with the text saying “Take that Priya Prakash Varrier,” DeePee’s little instagram entry came quite as a surprise to us all.

But guess we don’t blame her for it, for there was a time when everyone across the nation and beyond wanted to re-enact the famous wink and smile that bumped the young actresses account following into millions and made her one of the top most trending people on social media for the year! Becoming an overnight sensation, her song alone Manikya Malaraya Poovi from the movie became viral.
Safe to say, it wasn’t as romantic as Priya’s wink, nor was she dressed in a school uniform attire, but definitely got the message across and we can’t wait to see how Varrier decides to react to this surprising gesture from Deepika Padukone. Meanwhile, getting on with the promotions, the movie is set to release on January 10 next year.
