#HauteSounds: The Delhi Boy Who is Pulling At All The Right Strings

As I gear up for a fantastic weekend at NH7 Weekender Pune next month, I happened to scroll down the list of artists that will be performing at the concert this time round, and one name stood out — Prateek Kuhad. This sweet-looking Delhi boy has been creating magic since 2013, and it’s about time we know more about his tunes.

To get you more interested, he recently sang and wrote the lyrics of one of the songs of Baar Baar Dekho — Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, and garnered a lot praise for it. The 26-year-old math graduate debuted with Raat Raazi 3 years ago and hasn’t looked back since. His music is soulful, rhythmic, and goes at a pace that transfers you to a different world. While, for the past few years, he has focussed on the the acoustic guitar, he is now turning his attention towards the piano too, with occasional drum moments. Every song he has created exudes a serene vibe that will give you the #Feels.

But what is turning us into fans is the fact that he sings beautifully in both Hindi and English — and there are few artists who can actually do this. Whether it is with Oh Love or Tune Kaha, he is flawless, a rare and, as yet, underrated talent. He’s has had his moments of fame all over the globe — whether it was the energetic concert in Brisbane or the 3-day-long gig in Singapore. It was his first album, In Tokens And Charms, that came out last year in January, that first got him noticed.

He is not a fan of country music but loves pop — pretty surprising as most of his songs are quite the opposite of the upbeat, pop tracks we’re used. Now that he has made his Bollywood debut, we cannot wait for what else he has in store for us! Till then, check out his most popular song, Tune Kaha and, rest assured, you would have found your favourite Indie artist.
