Is Mira Rajput Kapoor’s Shaadi Style Just Underwhelming Or She Didn’t Want To Upstage The Bride?

By  |

Shaadi shopping is not just for the bride, it is for her equally fabulous besties as well. We know the planning and execution that is needed to turn up at our BFFs wedding, decked out in gorgeous clothes and accessories. As long as we are not twinning with another member from the squad, all is good. But that does not mean we play safe with our wedding looks either. Which is what we think Mira Rajput Kapoor was going for. The celeb-wife is attending a friend’s wedding and her fashion choices, although pretty, remained a bit disappointing. Which is a shame, since Mira is quite fashionable!

Mira packed light for her friend’s wedding with simple lehengas, sarees, suits and barely any accessories.

For one of the events, the young fashionista opted for a blush tutu lehenga from Summer by Priyanka Gupta. She paired the outfit with just a pearly choker from Sunita Shekhawat, that matched the embellished blouse. While we love the blush lehenga, it didn’t really stand out. A fresh face and no accessories on the hands make the ensemble look incomplete, if it didn’t already.

We did love the Shantanu and Nikhil saree on Mira though. The smart silhouette paired with a bustier blouse is sexy, complete with a studded necklace and chunky kada. The cocktail look was so much more her style than her other outfits.

Yet another summer wedding trend that Mira picked on, but did not see through to the end, was pastels. The embroidered saree from Aisha Rao is great for an afternoon sangeet or mehendi IF styled with breezy accessories and gorgeous done-up hair. Mira is very pretty, but the sheer lack of any add-ons in the saree and the casually tied up hair aren’t doing her any favours.

Given that Mira has access to a stylist, it is quite surprising that her wedding fashion be this lukewarm! She does keep her style minimal but they are always effective. We aren’t saying that celebs should go all out at family/friends’ weddings, but there are other ways to make an impact. From Sonam Kapoor’s simple yet quirky look at a friend’s wedding…

…. to Deepika Padukone’s sublte ethnic attire:

There are ways. Is it just us or does Mira need a serious upgrade in her wedding fashion? Let us know!
