Kim K Is At It Again! The Reality Star Has Been Accused Of Copying Another Designer’s Sunglasses…And More!
Kim Kardashian West is a storm in the fashion industry, a shit-storm yes, but one nevertheless. The reality star has been the butt of many controversies in the fashion and beauty world. Kim manages to stay in the limelight by creating publicity, most of it by pissing other people off. The latest one has to do with an accusation of straight up lifting designs from another brand for her own collection…and it is messy!

In another case of the famous Diet Prada investigations, Kim Kardashian has been accused of copying the designs of Emilio Pucci for her Carolina Lemke collab collection.

The Instagram page that is famous for calling out ‘fakes’ in fashion, accused Kim of lifting the unique design of the Pucci sunglasses for her own collection. The sunglasses from Pucci were spotted by Kim herself way back in August 2018 and are now being sold under her name. The sunglasses are inspired by the shield variety of shades that are often used by sportspersons on the field. While there hasn’t been any response from Kim about the allegations, it is safe to say that yes, with a unique design like such, sunglasses can also be copied!
It’s devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas.

This revelation has come straight after Kim was awarded a nearly $2.8 million settlement from fast fashion brand Missguided. She accused them of using her ‘Likeness’ and ‘Personality’ to sell their clothes, as seen in this image:

But the hawk-eyed fashionistas over at Diet Prada have speculated that Kim is indeed ‘involved’ in these rip-offs somehow. They suggested that the lack of transparency in celebrity endorsements are to blame. We often don’t know what a celebrity is getting from a brand to endorse their look or products. They also speculate that Kim must have dropped the association with Missguided, in order to seem like she’s in on the fight to stop plagiarism in the fashion industry. Laughable hypocrisy? We think so!

We have to go to admit, the gatekeepers of genuine fashion Diet Prada do make a compelling case. It cannot be a co-incidence that fast fashion brands release knock-off versions of her designer outfits mere three hours later on their websites. It just cannot. Do we wonder how long the Kardashian clan will be able to keep it up before people get exhausted of their shenanigans? Only time will tell!
