Katrina Kaif Wore A Strappy Dress For A Sombre Screening Of Bharat. We Think It’s Completely Wrong For The Event

Katrina Kaif’s Bharat promotional fashion has been an interesting mix of well thought out ensembles and out-of-place outfits. The actress kicked it off with a stream of beautiful sarees, later switching to some smarter suits/separates, with a couple of pretty dresses thrown in. While she chose a lot of florals, it being a theme and all, there is one recent outing from the actress that we think could have done been more appropriate.

The stars of the film, Katrina and Salman Khan, hosted a special screening of the film for the families who witnessed the partition.  She chose a black strappy number for the evening, an outfit choice that does not make sense.

It is one thing to style an interview look with the latest trendy silhouettes, a whole other when you are hosting real people to join you for a sombre event. While Salman seemed to not make an effort either (shocker!), we expected more from the always impeccably dressed Katrina.

Maybe a nice suit, or smart separates, even a simple cotton kurta would have been more suitable for the tone of the event. The actress was later seen heading to Karan Johar’s party in the same outfit and we think that’s what the dress was intended for. We think it was lax on behalf of her styling team to not be more sensitive about the event.
