Kangana Ranaut Wore The Tricky Grey And Black Combination To A Pageant And Pulled It Off Like A Boss

Pairing the right colours in your outfit can be the thing that makes or breaks it. The fashion rules applied to colour combinations have more less become extinct. We are seeing the most unusual colour combinations being carried off  by women everywhere,  street style being the major outlet to do it. One of those unusual combinations is the very underrated grey and black mix. If done right, this sleek look can translate into smart power dressing like no other. Case in point: Kangana Ranaut at a recent event.

Kangana took some time off her acting gig to be a guest at the Miss Diva 2019 event last night. She seemed to break the feminine dress code associated with beauty pageants and opted for smart separates instead.

The zebra print number from Toni Maticevski came with an asymmetrical top paired with skinny black trousers and black stiletto pumps. We love the off-shoulder top on Kangana, the fact that it was fitted to the T is also very impressive. You rarely find a bustier top that fits so perfectly.

Kangana’s look last night is a great example of how to do power dressing moment with greyer shades. Chalked off as being boring, the sleeker version of these hues can make for ideal workwear staples. We think Kangana’s stylist Ami Patel was able to achieve this with the pants and the shoes. Throw in some skinny trousers and high heel sandals to any top and you are good to go for a work meeting!

The eye makeup on Kangana was another fabulous grey moment we spotted in her look. The charcoal shade eyeshadow brought out the best detail in her outfit, the black panel down the front. It is tricky to do a chic dark eye, you run the risk of looking like a raccoon but just a dash of sheen and it is sorted. The side part ponytail, a favourite of Kangana’s, did the job it was supposed to!

Miss Diva 2019 is a part of the Femina Miss India pageant. This leg is responsible to crown the country’s representative for the annual Miss Universe pageant. Last night, model and influencer Vartika Singh won the crown. Last year’s winner was Nehal Chudasama.

On the work front, Kangana is busy shooting for her next film, a biopic based on the life of the politician Jayalalitha. The actress is reportedly working with the best of prosthetic makeup artists, Captain Marvel fame, for her transformation. We are excited!
