Huma Qureshi Ditched The Customary Gown For Her Cannes Appearance
It is a long-established norm that a red carpet event of the stature of Cannes calls for a gown made by a renowned international designer. But our girl Huma Qureshi is all about breaking the rules and norms with her choices. Actresses are supposed to be super frail and skinny (broken), actresses are just a pretty subject and cannot act (broken), wear a fancy gown to Cannes (also, broken).
While Huma did wear a pretty Varun Bahl gown for her press meets at the Film Fiesta, for her big red carpet appearance, where she was posing next to Lupita Nyong (I would have been screaming on the inside), she wore a power suit.
Styled by Mohit Rai, for her Cannes appearance, Huma wore a custom-made Nikhil Thampi power suit that looks like it has come straight from the future. The camel hue, suede pantsuit has power shoulders, a deep neckline and a matching belt. The statement pantsuit also has metallic details on the hem of the pants, and the hem of the jacket and sleeves.
She accessorised the look with a diamond necklace from Piaget. And for her beauty look, she wore a glam face of makeup with a sleek, straight centre-parted hairdo that complimented her sharp outfit as well.
We think she looks like quite the boss in this look!
