Simi’s Steals: The Fun Patterned Skirt

Simi’s Steals: The Fun Patterned Skirt

One universal fashion problem for most girls is, “What do I wear today?” This question has the power to reduce us to a hysterical mess. Fashionista or not, nobody wants sartorial answers that cost a fortune. And let’s just be honest, you’re THE style star if you know how to dress to the nines on a budget. So I’ve taken up this Herculean task: Every Saturday, I’ll round up a budget-friendly ensemble for you, all BELOW Rs 10,000. Yes! It’s going to be an entire outfit — from head-to-toe — without breaking the bank. Quite a challenge, right? Scroll down to shop this budget ensemble, and don’t forget to come back every Saturday to discover an outfit that’s yet another steal!

What’s life without some colour? I know more often than not most of us verge upon monochromatic or neutral-hued outfits because they seem easier to style with most things. But before you know it, you will be stuck in a style rut. And then, all you’ll ever see in your wardrobe is a sea of plain-jane outfits, stylish yet extremely boring. And so, every three months, it is best to examine your closet and report to yourself as to how you’ve shopped over the months. Keep a tab on it and the moment you find a pattern (too many whites, all off-the-shoulders, black-black everywhere, etc) try to veer away from similar outfits; mix it up a little and opt for something new.

That was some style hack. And now let’s get to the Style Steal of the day! I love skirts and with the number of styles available there’s so much potential when it comes to teaming up a skirt in an ensemble. My piece for the day is a patterned skirt from H&M. Frankly, a patterned skirt is not just a perfect piece for spring, it’s also a great transitional outfit. I’ve paired this chic mint skirt (that has bold orange botanical print) with a denim shirt. You can also team it with a striped tee, for a print-on-print look. To complete the ensemble, I’ve added gold accessories and a pair of beige ankle-strap heels. Lug an envelope clutch, and if you’re able to go slightly overboard with your budget, I’d suggest you team it with this Mango cross-body bag.
