Simi’s Steals: The Modern Floral Blouse
One universal fashion problem for most girls is, “What do I wear today?” This question has the power to reduce us to a hysterical mess. Fashionista or not, nobody wants sartorial answers that cost a fortune. And let’s just be honest, you’re THE style star if you know how to dress to the nines on a budget. So I’ve taken up this Herculean task: Every Saturday, I’ll round up a budget-friendly ensemble for you, all BELOW Rs 10,000. Yes! It’s going to be an entire outfit — from head-to-toe — without breaking the bank. Quite a challenge, right? Scroll down to shop this budget ensemble, and don’t forget to come back every Saturday to discover an outfit that’s yet another steal!
Let’s admit it, time and again fashion takes a nostalgic detour that one can’t avoid because it is so ridiculously rad even till date. And the one print that no one (read: fashionable style stars and stylish civilians alike) can get enough of is the floral print. This will sound as cliché as it can get but I will say it nonetheless — flower power is everything, and it’s here to stay! Obviously, none of us are complaining given how uber-feminine and cute it can look. And if anyone tells you florals are oh-so-summery, ignore them… because florals are for all seasons.
So, this week’s pick is dedicated to floral fashion. Taking a cue from the trend, my key piece today is a floral print button-down blouse in ecru that I found on Zara. I love the 90s feel it has; exactly the quality that made this outfit an instant pick-me-up. To balance the look, I’ve teamed it up with a denim skirt with an asymmetrical hem. Pair this with a layered neckpiece and a crossbody in black, and don’t forget those fringed block heels to complete the look. Walking out in the sun to meet the gang? I suggest you skip the aviators for an edgier one, like this round pair of shades.
