As Hauterfly turns 1, we’re bringing to you some of the #HauteSquad’s favourite picks. From clothes and shoes to beauty products and perfumes, step into our world and get to know Team Hauterfly a little better. And oh, we’ll even tell you where you can buy similar products. We *are* your BFFs, after all!

Shoes! Shoes! Shoes! Don’t we all love that word (and what comes along with it). We can all be held guilty of hoarding *way* too many shoes, but we also secretly know there’s always THE ONE — countless pairs we may own, but only in one do we put our trust. Precisely. These shoes are either our go-to choices that we absolutely can’t do without, something that goes with everything we wear, or simply ones that have some sentimental value to them. Scroll down to see our fave footies and, if you like them, you can shop similar too!

“These pumps were my very first luxury purchase back when I was working for a bunch of luxury brands. Naturally, as an employee I was entitled to a super generous discount, but even then it was a pricey purchase. I literally never wore them out much, for fear of damaging them. I quickly got over that once people starting commenting on how amazing they looked, and then they became my go-to pair for major events. These Choos look super sexy, add amazing height, and elevate even the most basic outfit several notches higher!”
— Zahra Khan, CEO & Editor-In-Chief

“I have more shoes than I can wear or store. My friends believe I have a problem. Rich coming from them, considering they have the same disease! Anyway, needless to say, shoes are my favourite prezzies, and these stunning coral pink stilettos with gold heels from Aldo were a gift on my 30th birthday. Aren’t they beauties? The colour, the finish, and that heel! Although I can pretty much wear these with anything, I paired them with a gold sequinned dress for my 30th bash (yes, I went dressed as the shiny disco ball), and let’s just say, the look was well received. The only downside — they are possibly one of the most uncomfortable pairs I’ve ever owned. But hey, no pain, no gain, right?”
— Baishali Chatterjee, Managing Editor

“I’m an all-out comfort girl. Which includes my soles as well. Always convenience over style. And if it’s fashionably comfortable, then I’m home! Entry: the flatform *all grin* I picked up this pair of black and white flatforms around 2 years ago from Zara, and it’s held me in good stead ever since. I wear this pair from work to party and it’s the most comfortable stride I’ve had in a while.”
— Aindrila Mitra, Managing Editor

“For a lazy girl like myself, ‘functionality over fashion’ is always the motto when it comes to buying shoes! Since it’s been raining a lot in Mumbai and I’m done with rainy shoes, I’ve decided to use these trusty slip-ons. The heel saves my feet from puddles and the stud detail ensures that I look fashionable.”
— Farozan Dossani, Social Media Editor

“Ten minutes after wearing heels, my feet start to give up. Though I love wearing them, my feet refuse to stand by me! So to solve this problem, in come these strappy monochrome block heels I bought from Aldo. They help me stand, work, or even dance without even a pinch! The best part about them is the metallic heel that breaks the monotony of the black and white beautifully.”
— Japleen Kaur, Lifestyle Writer

“For those of you who know me, I hate, and let me repeat, HATE showing my feet. It’s imperative I either wear socks with sandals or just spend all my moolah on chunky brogues or boots. I think a great pair of boots can complete any look with such sass and edge! I’m a boot lover (think hoarder), and I’m proud of it. I own about 11 pairs of boots, including these babies ‘coz shoe love is true love, no? This beauty right here is the newest addition to my shoe closet. I think they’re perfect to complete my winter #OOTD!”
— Snehal Fernandes, Head of Video Content

“Shoes are my kryptonite, I admit it. I also admit that I may own one too many. I might not actually wear most of them, but how lovely does it feel to open a closet full of fancy footwear, huh? I know you fellow shoe-aholics agree! These Zara bow-ties might have been one of my best purchases yet. I have a thing for neutrals, and these nudes play right into it. I can either wear it to a wedding or strut out of the house in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, and these shoes just stand out. The bow adds a lovely cutesy twist to it as well. The only issue is that I have to be super careful about the suede getting dirty — paranoia always strikes when I have to cross over a puddle. But I have to say, these shoes are #bae!”

— Tatiana Dias, Fashion & Beauty Writer
SHOP NOW: MISSGUIDED Laser Cut Tie Back Heeled Sandals (approx Rs 1,130.86)

“I love wedges, but I’m already pretty tall, so I hardly get the chance to wear heels. These ones, though, are the best fit for a night-out with my besties. The best thing about it is the colour — No matter what I wear or what the occasion is, black is always in.”
— Mansi Chouksey, Graphic Designer

“I can’t wear heels to save my life so flats are my only sole-mates! But then variety is the spice of life, right? My shoe-rack boasts of a vibrant collection of flats. But if I have to pick my absolute favourite, it has to be my pair of classic beige ballets. This sleek pair stands for elegance and that’s why it deserves all my love!”
