Gigi Hadid Became A Moschino Bride And You Cannot Miss Her Dress!

By  |

It’s fashion week season! After New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week, all eyes are on Milan Fashion Week right now. Last night, on the prestigious runway of Milan Fashion Week, Jeremy Scott (Creative Director of Moschino) presented his Ready To Wear Spring-Summer 2019 collection.

The collection was an inside joke, where Jeremy mocked his peers who complain about being overworked at all times owing to the relentless pace of the fashion industry in 2018. The main theme of his collection was scribbling on the dresses, which implied that the collection was not complete, and so he had to present his sketches on the runway. Of course, in reality, the collection was more than complete. It included clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery and hats galore.

The daywear collection included pantsuits and shift dresses that had scribble prints on them, and we can tell you now, these prints will be a hit, and this collection will fly off the racks. The entertaining show started with a sequence where Gigi calls Scott, saying he is late for his own show, and now he has no option but to present his undone sketches.

To match up to the grandeur of Moschino and Jeremy’s vision, the show had super models Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber model his collection. Like most fashion houses, Moschino too closed the show with a bridal look, with Gigi as showstopper walking down in a dramatic bridal outfit. The show’s climax was straight out of a scene from a Disney movie.

As someone who totally ships Zayn and Gigi, I have envisioned and discussed their wedding at length. While wedding bells may not ringing for Gigi anytime soon, Gigi sure is getting her practice. However, this wedding look, is nothing like what you would have imagined.

The model walked down in a bubble hem white mini dress, which had a double layer veil. The bottom layer of the veil was tucked into the bubble hem of the dress, while the top layer was flowing behind the model. The flowing veil gave the illusion that it was floating in mid-air, because it was carried by multiple other unknown models dressed in black bodysuits that covered their faces. These models were also carrying mobile stands that had butterflies suspended from them, which made it look like butterflies were hovering over Gigi’s floating veil. In Gigi’s hands was clasped a bouquet of flowers as she walked down the aisle aka the runway toward the crowd.

Here is a look at Gigi’s bridal dress…
