This Backpack Is Simi’s Alternative To A Shoulder Bag
Some days I am tired of carrying a tote or even a sling bag to lug around all my essentials. If my shoulders could actually converse with me, they’d join a movement and shout out slogans like “Free The Shoulders!” or something to that effect! When I’m at work, I only carry my cutesy laptop bag but on other days, I wish I could skip the crossbody bag or the big shoulder bag for something more convenient and easy-to-carry. Also, now that it’s officially pouring like nobody’s business, it’s so difficult to carry an umbrella and a handbag. So a backpack is THE perfect solution to such seasonal woes.
I remember when I was younger, my dad gifted me this super cute VIP Footloose mini backpack in red that I would use for summer camps and treks. I haven’t discarded it, BTW — it still looks fresh, has serious sentimental value, and I’m a hoarder. But now when I look at it, I realise that it was fitting for my tomboy-ish phase only. What I am currently looking for is something that’s big, neutral, and works with all my feminine ensembles.
And so, my lookout for the perfect backpack landed me on Forever New’s India site, where I found this uber-cute backpack that’s now on my #Hautelist for the week. It has grained faux leather fabrication, adjustable shoulder straps and gold hardware that works beautifully on the light grey colour. A feature that makes it stand out is the zipper pocket in front — you know, for when you want to shove in stuff just before you walk out of your house (it’s always my scrunchie or the lipstick I’ve just applied and carelessly left at my dressing table).
It is secured by a magnetic pop stud and comes with a top handle just in case you’re experiencing a day when you want to hold it like a case rather than lug it around on your shoulders. With so many features and a price point that works well for such great quality, I know this one’s sure going to be my next bag buy.
