Kartik Aryan And Janhvi Kapoor Will Be Seen In Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 And It’s Exciting!

There have been several speculations about the star cast of the upcoming film, Dostana 2, which is a much-awaited Karan Johar film. A number of actors were rumoured to play one of the male characters, and Rajkummar Rao was making headlines for the same at one point. We also head that debutant, Ishaan Khattar would be paired opposite Rajkummar Rao in Dostana 2. But looks like Karan Johar just spilled the cast of the film, and rubbished all the rumours.

Karan Johar recently revealed that heartthrob, Kartik Aaryan and Dhadak actress Janhvi Kapoor will be playing the lead roles in the upcoming film. We were stunned to know this, after all, the pairing is definitely a killer one! However, the third character is not yet confirmed, but we might get to see a new face in Dostana 2.  According to Karan’s tweet, he will soon be launching “a suitable boy” who will be a fresh face.

In an recent interview with Times of India, Karan announced that the Lukka Chuppi actor will be joining hands with Dharma Productions alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Karan Johar said, “I am excited to take the Dostana franchise forward with Kartik and Janhvi, and can’t wait to create some desi boy-girl madness with them. This is Dharma Productions’ (his banner) first film with Kartik and we are looking forward to working with him. We will also be introducing a new male lead, who will join the incredible talent at our production house. Collin D’Cunha also makes his directorial debut with Dostana 2.”

On Wednesday, the producer shared a cryptic video, teasing the film release to fans and wrote, “Got a ring to it, doesn’t it? You know what it is! Stay tuned and watch this space – announcement coming your way tomorrow!” We are looking forward to the return of the franchise, but more excited to see Kartik and Janhvi’s chemistry stand out!

Speaking of movie releases, Kartik Aryan is busy shooting his next flick alongside Sara Ali Khan in the Imtiaz Ali directorial film. Whereas Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her next film, Rooh-Afza alongside Rajkummar Rao.
