Deepika Pulls Off Winter Whites In Style
White has been a dominant trend for Fall 2015, transforming itself from a lazy summer shade into a statement evening look this season. And no one personified that better than Deepika Padukone in her all-white ensemble at the Big Star Entertainment Awards this past weekend. Like we’ve said time and again, Ms Padukone is a bonafide fashionista.
Wearing chic separates from Stella McCartney’s Fall 2015 collection, she paired cuffed flared trousers with an off-shoulder dress that was ruffled at the waist. While the ensemble had quite a business-y vibe to it, I think it worked perfectly for an evening look; it’s different and dramatic, without going overboard. Also, it’s refreshing to see a red carpet look that does not include a gown or a cocktail dress, every now and then. Deepika’s outfit of choice is certainly a style risk, and had it been anyone else I don’t think it would’ve had even half the impact it does on her.
Accessorised with fringed earrings from Valliyan by Nitya and Christian Louboutin shoes, her make-up included exaggerated cat eyeliner and bold fuchsia lips. Though I would have gone with a sleek ponytail for an outfit like this, Deepika left her hair in loose waves and totally owned her look from head to toe.
