Christian Louboutin Premieres Fall 2016 Collection Via Epic Dance Film

Whoever exclaimed, “Put your dancing shoes on!” didn’t anticipate that someday it would be used in context with Christian Louboutin. The luxe Parisian accessory house has collaborated with Blanca Li to premiere its Fall 2016 video campaign. Titled La Répétition, this two-minute short film by choreographer, dancer, and filmmaker Li is about a dance squad working out in a selection of chic Louboutins. The result: A perfect display of the iconic red-soled shoes, making you want to splurge on them right away!

Inspired by The Chorus Line, the video is a tongue-and-cheek presentation of rigorous workouts done by stunning dancers wearing shoes from the brand’s Fall line. Ironically, the dancer who passes out mid-workout is a male dancer in a pair of sneakers instead of the women in six-inch heels. Nonetheless, what grabs your attention throughout the video is the range of studded T-bar heels, glittery loafers, two-toned sky-high ankle straps, cut-out stilettos, and even the nude booties from the brand’s latest collection. They are STUNNING!

The shoe brand has a history with dance collabs, the first being a 2015 show titled Robot (another partnership with Blanca Li) that debuted at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
