Boi’s Budget Buys: The Shimmery Playsuit
One universal fashion problem for most girls is, “What do I wear today?” This question has the power to reduce us to a hysterical mess. Fashionista or not, nobody wants sartorial answers that cost a fortune. And let’s just be honest, you’re THE style star if you know how to dress to the nines on a budget. So I’ve taken up this Herculean task: every Saturday, I’ll round up a budget-friendly ensemble for you, all BELOW Rs 10,000. Yes! It’s going to be an entire outfit — from head-to-toe — without breaking the bank. Quite a challenge, right? Scroll down to shop this budget ensemble, and don’t forget to come back every Saturday to discover an outfit that’s yet another steal!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve already slipped into party mode, come November. The end of the year really is the best part of it, isn’t it? The weather is SO much better, you get to see friends you probably haven’t met all year, lots of parties, dancing, good food and booze — ahh, the good life. Also, let’s not kid ourselves…we’re all celebrating the death of this wretched year! So why not do it in style?
I, for one, love playsuits — it’s my go-to ensemble for a night out. They’re cute, they’re playful (see what I did there?), they’re sexy, they’re comfy, and they’re super oomphy. Yes, peeing in one is a problem, but hey, life ain’t perfect! So this week, I picked a romper that is super sexy and kinda shiny too *ooo shiny — distracted*. This halter neck short jumpsuit (don’t you love just HOW many names this one item of clothing has?) from Zara is perfect for a night of crazy partying with your gang.
But, and this is a big BUT, we live in India, and covering up while you’re hopping from one bar to the other, may be a good idea. But, and this is an even bigger BUT, do it in style. Throw on this denim waterfall jacket from Forever New — can you say cool, can you say edgy? Denim goes with ERRYTHING — thus proved.
Since this is more of a clubbing look, I think sky-high heels are mandatory — a little uncomfortable yes, but…*read above*. And, as you probably know already, we love ourselves a pop of colour, and that’s exactly what these Asos peep-toes add — height, posture, and a pop!
I’d suggest go easy on the accessories with this look — the halter-neck doesn’t really allow for a neckpiece, so stick to just a cool pair of earrings, like these geometric ones I found on Vajor. And ta-da! You’re ready to hit the dance floor (sing it like Sia) all night long!
Not that I have to tell you this, but you gotta send us your party selfies in this outfit, right?
