This Colour Was Definitely The New Black At Last Night’s Golden Globes
Star light, star bright…here are the stars we saw and loved last night! As the season of awards dawns upon us, we can’t help but be starstruck at how awesome most of these celebrities are. We all awww’d when Ryan Gosling professed his love for his VERY lucky partner, Eva Mendes (there were tears, I won’t deny it), and we also ooooo’d as Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively gave us major #CoupleGoals along with so much envy, as they walked down the red carpet. The highlight of the night probably had to be Meryll Streep’s hair-raising speech, which, quite literally, struck gold! I mean can this woman BE any more of an inspiration?!
Besides the usual, the 74th Golden Globe Awards also most definitely had its fair share of everything that defines fashion — elegance, fierceness, sexiness, and femininity! An evening filled with a good mix of blacks, metallics, and a whole lot of shimmer, the trendiest colour of the night had to be that perfect shade of yellow. Spotted wearing the hue were A-listers such as Reese Witherspoon, Emily Ratajkowski, Viola Davis, and our very own Deepika Padukone. A quick disclaimer, our very own DP and PC are undoubtedly on our best-dressed list, but that’s not because my judgement is affected by the fact that we are oh-so-proud of them. They’ve made it on their own merit (and their stylists, of course!) for not leaving any style stone unturned on this red carpet. While DP was spotted in a simple one-shoulder gown, Piggy Chops went all out in a beautiful metallic golden gown. Sofia Vergara did not hold back with her ensemble — as usual, she definitely turned heads with this gown of hers! It was, however, the simpler looks of the night that really did it for me this time — whether it was Emma Stone’s sheer floral dress or Anna Kendrick’s flowy gown.

"I decided not to wear dresses this year to be a gentle reminder to young girls that you're not required to wear one if you don't want to. Your worth is more than that. So just be yourself." – @EvanRachelWood is a Rebel with a cause in every way, in a tribute to David Bowie and Marlene Dietrich. #GoldenGlobes With thanks to @samanthamcmillen_stylist. #AltuzarraSuitsYou
