After Transforming Into A Real-Life Cinderella, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Channels A Butterfly At Cannes 2018

Cannes Film Festival is on in full swing, and after Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut and Huma Qureshi, it was time for Cannes veteran, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to be a dutiful and beautiful (see what we did there) brand ambassador at the film festival.

We all know how Aishwarya broke the Internet last year with her big Cinderella moment at Cannes 2017, as she walked down the carpet in a beautiful voluminous blue ballroom gown by Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer, Michael Cinco.

Looks like Michael Cinco and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have now become a powerful combination, as the duo collaborated for Cannes 2018 too, and boy, Aishwarya just keeps getting better looking. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Manish Malhotra

The beauty queen started her Cannes 2018 run in a custom dress by her trusted friend and designer Manish Malhotra. The blue flutter sleeve, off-shoulder maxi dress had pink, orange, blue and white Aztec-style sequins on it. The dress was completely in sync with the blue waters and blue skies of Cannes. She styled the look with minimal jewellery, simple makeup and hair worn in curls.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan In Michael Cinco

After the Cinderella-like look, Aishwarya dressed like a legit butterfly for her first 2018 Cannes red carpet appearance. “The gown was created to reflect the impalpable dream of a butterfly metamorphosis,” Cinco tells BAZAAR.com of the exquisite creation. Well, the result does have us simply stunned.

The sweetheart neckline gown was figure-hugging and complemented Aishwarya’s curves perfectly well. Covered in Swarovski crystals and threadwork in ultra-violet, midnight blue, and red, it boasts a 20-foot train.

We love how her beauty look complemented the outfit too. Ash wore a graphic winged liner, with a hint of blue glitter on it, she also wore burnt orange lips to adorn her pout and sleek hair. What can we say, Aishwarya keeps upping her game with every passing year at the Cannes Film Festival.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Giorgio Armani

Post the epic butterfly dress, on her second day at the Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya power-dressed in an all-black Giorgio Armani pantsuit. She wore a black tuxedo jacket, with black trousers that have tiny front slit pants.

This look is rather simple yet powerful, and she let her caged statement heels by Racine Carrée be the centre of attention. She further styled this look with a simple clutch by Jimmy Choo. A sleek ponytail with red lips and smokey eyes rounded her look.

Looks like heavy duty sequins and Kira Kira worthy clothes were Aishwarya’s vibe at Cannes 2018.  For another look on day 2 f her run at Cannes 2018, she wore a pleated blue skirt along with a structured white shirt and she further added a sequin orange bomber jacket from Manish Arora, that she wore over her shoulder. Simple earrings, a fresh face of makeup along with soft curls rounded her look.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Rami Kadi

For her red carpet appearance on Day 2 of the Cannes Film Festival 2018, Aishwarya was seen wearing sequins again! She picked a structured futuristic silver sequin gown by Rami Kadi. The gown had a structured strapless neckline along with embroidered panels on the side, and a voluminous embroidered train on the back.

She paired the look with a statement topknot and silver smokey eyes. Also, this look was very reminiscent of the Ralph and Russo look Priyanka Chopra wore at Oscars 2017.

Well, it is safe to say that Aishwarya’s Cannes 2018 run is a super hit!
