There’s no point denying it: your mom hates it when you step out of the house wearing a midriff-baring crop top. Somehow, it’s her least favourite piece in your wardrobe, and there’s no way you’re wearing that if she disapproves so much. Until now, that is. Grazia India‘s June cover girl is the always stylish, Aditi Rao Hydari. They had a launch event in Mumbai last evening, and while we like what she’s wearing on the cover, we LOVE what she wore to the event!

Aditi’s stylist, Sanam Ratansi, put her in an olive green vest and culotte set from Marks & Spencer, with a black crop top/bralet from Topshop inside. She completed the look with shoes from Christian Louboutin, accessories from Forever 21 and Topshop, and topped it off with a messy ponytail done by Elton J Fernandez.

What’s great about how she’s styled it is that the crop doesn’t look fun and flirty like it generally tends to. The lapelled, longline jacket and culottes make it more formal, like she means serious business. I’m loving the combination of black and olive green and the crochet border on the top is just a cherry on top — so even if you still don’t want to wear a crop top, wear a black tank and it will still look fabulous! It’s definitely an outfit I want to try.

Hee’s how you can get Aditi’s chic head-to-toe look:

Marks & Spencer Waterfall Belted Jacket (Rs 4,500 approx)

Marks & Spencer Wide Leg Crop Trousers (Rs 3,500 approx)

Topshop Crochet Trim Bralet (Rs 2,190)

Steve Madden OHNICE Pumps (Rs 5,499)
