Ace Designer Anita Dongre Shares Her Fashion Picks For 2019
Anita Dongre, one of the most celebrated designers in this age and day, and the founder of AND, Global Desi and House of Anita Dongre, has launched AND’s new Fall & Winter collection for the party season and we must admit, it’s definitely going to spark the fire we need this winter. While she was at it, we managed to get some inside scoop from her on her own style statement and fashion predictions for 2019! After all, how often does one get to sit down with a fashion whisperer and talk about the newest wrinkle in the industry?
When asked about the party season and the trends that we translate from runway to party, she says “Stylish dresses with edgy slits, flirtatious ruffles, sultry sheers and subtle embellishments are some of the hottest trends this party season. With the temperature dipping, luxurious velvets and brocade dresses also make for perfect picks, to make a statement this season.”
In case you’re aren’t loving LBDs, she has suggestions for you too, “Pick a lovely flared dress in blush hues with stunning accents. For a more elaborate occasion on a night out, opulent ruffled dresses in gorgeous greens, rich brocade dresses or well-fitted jumpsuits work beautifully.”
As for her predictions for 2019, she says, “Vintage florals in bright hues, bold prints, ruffled accents and pieces bordering on sharp feminine silhouettes are going to be some of the biggest fashion trends of 2019.” She’s clearly made it easier for us to keep an eye out for when we choose to revamp our wardrobe and we think florals are here to stay and she said it, so there’s no way we can go wrong with that.
