3 Ways To Wear Your Swimsuit As A Top!

By  |

Unless you’re still holidaying on a sunny beach somewhere in the world, you’ve noticed that the rain here doesn’t really allow for a lot of pool time and tanning. So naturally, all your fun summer swimsuits have taken a backseat in your closet and have no intention of surfacing anytime soon. But what if I told you that my bikinis and monokinis have been multitasking lately, and I sometimes wear them out too?

It’s totally possible! The right kind of swimsuit can take you from a pool to a party in minutes, and all you need are a few tiny adjustments. Of course, your bikini bottoms aren’t invited, but there’s no rule that says you can’t wear your swimsuits as tops. I’m about to show you how.

1. On A Night Out

This is possibly the easiest trick in the book. You’re used to wearing bodysuits with jeans, and a monokini is pretty much the same thing. Wear yours with jeans, stilettos, and a clutch for a fun night out. You could even trade the heels for sneakers and add a jacket to wear it in the day.

Zara Mom Jeans (Rs 2,490)
Bebe Daria Sandals (Rs 7,294 approx)

2. To Brunch In

Everyone knows that white is a brunch staple. Wear your frilly white bikini top with a high waist, full skirt. Tan sandals and a denim vest will complete the look. And hey, if the weather behaves, you can totally jump into the pool post brunch!

The Label Life White Frill Bikini (Rs 2,840)
Forever New Pleated Skirt (Rs 2,295)
Charles & Keith Tan Sandals (Rs 3,500)

3. While You Work Out

A well-supported swimsuit can easily double up as a sports bra for when you work out. Wear it as is with a pair of tights and sneakers. You could even add on a scooped back tank to cover up, but still show off your suit!

Billabong Crop Bikini Top (Rs 2,860 approx)
H&M Sports Tights (Rs 1,799)
Adidas Superstar Sneakers (Rs 3,666)
Nike Tank Top (Rs 1,895)
