3 Stylish Ways To Wear Mom Jeans

By  |

Over the years we’ve “borrowed” countless things from our mother’s wardrobe. From their jewellery and accessories to classic, everlasting clothes and even some makeup, the “borrowing” never really ends. This time around, it’s a mom-approved style we’re crushing on. Mom jeans have been around for a while but personally, I used to avoid them like the plague.

Loose, baggy and shapeless, I didn’t see the point. But I really wanted to like them, so after a lot of playing around, I actually found a few styles that worked. Once I got these right, I realised that I could wear them to work, out at night, and basically with anything I wanted. They looked great and are super comfortable too. Here’s how I style mine…

1. Make It Sporty

You don’t have to play a sport to dress sporty. I love wearing a sports bra like a crop top, with a varsity jacket to cover up a bit and my mom jeans. You could wear metallic flats, but sneakers will really complete the look.

2. Wear Them To A Party

Sometimes a night out requires some high-voltage shine. Pick your favourite metallic top (a bodysuit would look great too) and clutch, and wear it with your jeans with some stylish block heels.

3. Take Them To Work

They’re baggy, which makes them super comfortable to wear to work. Wrap and tuck a crisp shirt, and add a choker and your hold-all tote for a polished look.
