Sonam Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Celebrities Are Embracing The The Trendiest Colour In Town, The Good Ol’ Brown

By  |

Although I loved myself a brown accessory like a bag or a pair of heels since I always found them very easy to style with any outfit, for the longest time, I ignored anything brown when it came to clothing. And, I am certainly not the only one. The timeless colour has been one of the most underrated one and deemed as dull and unsexy as compared to the lively colours like reds and yellows and pinks for years. However, as they say, every colour has its day. Okay, they don’t really say that about colours but it’s true in this case. Brown is officially having a moment in fashion right now and those classy monochrome looks you see on your Insta feeds are proof enough. It was declared the hottest shade to gather momentum last year and we are spotting celebrities incorporating the ever-so-ignored colour in their styles, and how!

It’s time to invest in that brown turtleneck or tanned pants that didn’t quite appeal to you a couple of years ago. The stores are flooded with gorgeous styles featuring the sophisticatedly neutral colour. I’ll admit it requires you to put in some thought while styling a brown garment but it isn’t difficult. You can take cues from these Bollywood celebrities who have apparently mastered the art of donning their browns right. From a classic brown trench to a chocolate hued jumper to chic pants in faded brown, these celebrities have worn the colour in the most stylish ways. Take a look at how brown is dominating the wardrobes of the stars this season and all the reasons you need to too.

When the most fashionable celebrity in Bollywood wears the trend, you know it’s completely worth your time and efforts. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja wore a brown check print blazer and A-line knee-length skirt set and paired it with yellow shirt, black stockings and a bag and shoes in a different shade of brown, bringing the whole monochrome look together.

Brown doesn’t have to be all prim and proper and Nora Fatehi’s casual look is an obvious evidence to that. Her dark brown LV sweater with blue cuffs and turtleneck is styled with blue denims and an LV bag. She put on a brown overcoat over it in a toned-down brown and I think this look perfect embodies the edgy and elegant style.

The millennial star Ananya Panday embraced the colour in cute co-ords that has an off-shoulder crop top and relaxed fit pants. Although brown is generally considered very formal hue meant for smart dressing, this outfit is breaking all those misconceptions and proving how cool the colour can be.

Not just glamour-oozing photoshoots and meetings, brown has also been making an appearance on the airport lobbies. A brown trench and overcoat has been the favourite piece of clothing among the celebrities for their airport looks. Whether it is an all-black outfit or a beige monochrome look, layering it with a brown coat is how celebs are making it effortless and chic.

A pair of brown pants have been considered quite unexciting for long but not anymore. They are actually pretty versatile and a lot of celebrities including Janvhi Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Tara Sutaria have worn it with solid tops and sweaters in neutral colours like black and white which will convince you that it deserves a spot in your closet.
