Shraddha Kapoor’s Experimental And Oh-So-Stunning Hairstyles Are So Cool

Less than a decade old in Bollywood, Shraddha Kapoor has worked in a broad range of films and if there’s one thing very apparent about her, it’s that she thrives on versatility. Be it the range of roles she has taken up or her fashion statements, Shraddha doesn’t believe in settling for one thing. It is pretty evident from her filmography and her Instagram feed that she loves experimenting. Her style spectrum goes from classic to avant garde in a tick and that’s exactly what we love about her. Have you seen her hair look book? She often debuts chic and offbeat hairstyles that always tempt us to reach for our styling tools, too. Since it’s her birthday today, we are taking the day to celebrate her undying love for experimental and totally cool hairdos.

Shraddha Kapoor is blessed with great hair and she definitely knows how to weave ‘em locks in a hairdo that’s no less than a headturner. Her hairstylist Nikita Menon (@menonnikita on Instagram) deserves a thumbs-up too, for always making sure the star’s hair game is on point. From a messy fishtail braid to a gajra hun (half bun), Kapoor has worn her tresses in a bunch of striking and never-seen-before styles. Here, we have picked some of our favourite ‘dos sported by the birthday girl that were pretty, experimental and pure goals. Fair warning, don’t look if you are having a bad hair day.

Gajra hun

We had seen a casual half bun and we had seen the timeless gajra bun. However, this modern twist to the two basic hairstyles is not what we had seen before. It’s a refreshing style that’s equally trendy and traditional and perfect for us millennials to wear on weddings and other festivities or religious ceremonies.

Glitter glam

I was under the impression that nothing good could come from putting glitter in my hair, until I saw this post. The half ponytail with specks of glitter in the upper half of hair is how you do the glitter hair trend right. This looks chic, glamorous and not at all OTT, as I had imagined. Plus, that silver thread wrap around the ponytail is giving this hairdo life.

Twisted fishtail

Seems like Shraddha Kapoor has a knack for giving the good’ ol classic styles her own fresh twist. Apart from the gajra hun, there was also this messy twisted fishtail braid that’s so stylish and quirky. It’s romantic, boho chic and far from boring. This also works great if you have thin hair, because the two fishtail braids intertwined into one and tousled hair gives the illusion of a fuller braid.

Scarf ‘do

What seems like a vintage hairdo from the 1970s is actually a Pinterest-worthy style from 2020 in the back. The curtain bangs, gentle bouffant, and the half ponytail secured with a cute bow in place of a hair tie–what’s not to love? This hairdo is ideal for summers. I can see it, already. Don’t you?

Knotted bun

This isn’t your regular low bun, hon’. It’s a knotted chignon bun that’s messy on the front and neatly wrapped on the back. This hairstyle is basically equal parts cool and sophisticated and that’s probably why it’s my personal favourite from her style file. The bun is tied way low on the nape of the neck with some strands left loose on the sides which makes this hairstyle effortlessly chic. We love!
