Sara Ali Khan’s Promotional Looks For Coolie No. 1 Are Quite Underwhelming. Here Is Lowdown On All The Outfits She Has Sported

Sara Ali Khan has a knack for winning hearts without putting in much efforts when it comes to her candid interview. Honestly, when I first saw her in the press interviews for her first film Kedarnath, she came across as such an honest human being with a chirpy personality who didn’t have any inhibitions, which was a breath of fresh air. Since she is a millennial star, my hopes for her fashion statement were also pretty high and she served some really interesting and offbeat looks in the past that reflects her true self. However, her promotional looks for her upcoming film Coolie No. 1 (yes, the remake of the legendary comedy starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor), seriously failed to impress.

Her looks were pretty basic and boring and some outright a fashion blunder which we didn’t expect that from someone who’s so lively. I mean, she seems like a person who would throw on an outfit according to her mood, and that’s probably what she does, not caring about the fashion police most time. However, her style has been a bunch of major #fails lately and we believe she can do better. Talking about the promotional looks for Coolie No. 1, nothing about any of her outfit stood out for us. Her makeup was bomb though; we just think she could have been a bit experimental with the looks and tried something out of her comfort zone.

Here are all the looks she sported for the promotions of Coolie No. 1 and left us disappointed once again.

There are umpteen cool ways to do denim dresses but this certainly isn’t one. We don’t know if it is the triangular pleated pattern, the denim belt or the outdated indigo denim that’s putting us off, but this outfit isn’t entirely what the fashion buffs would approve of. The dress is styled fabulously though, with those white pumps and long lightening earrings which are kind of saving the day for her.

Sara wore this red pantsuit and we are not too excited about it. We love the monochrome style in bold red and edgy slit sleeves but that’s about it. Also, we thought that in 2020, we were wearing pantsuits with elongated jackets and baggy pants but Sara proved us wrong. She could have used a pop of colour with her accessories at least to add some flair IMO. This look lacks the X factor and we’d give it a 5/10.

Wait, I think I’ve seen this outfit before. Oh, I remember! An off-shoulder wrap dress with check print in red and blue? The style is so basic that you probably stumbled upon some girl wearing the similar outfit at least once in your life. She styled it with minimal jewellery and burgundy heels which were again a turn off. In whole, the look is highly unflattering and underwhelming and we are not amused.

Of all the looks, you can say, this one still does well for her, apart from the fact that it could fit her better, I don’t know like a glove? That’s the only job of a jumpsuit, right? But anyway, what we like is the snakeskin texture, statement sleeve and that colourful floral peep-toe pumps that are effortlessly breaking the monotony of the solid-coloured outfit. All in all, this look is better than the rest of the ones she wore, but again, we don’t see anything striking.

Girl, you have potential and we are rooting for you. Maybe the next look she drops would do justice to her.
