Sanjana Ganesan Was The Gorgeous Minimalistic Bride For Her Wedding To Jasprit Bumrah

Whether  you follow cricket like a true-blue desi fan or not, you would still know that the Indian team’s speedster Jasprit Bumrah got married to his long-time girlfriend and sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan in a small private ceremony in Goa over the weekend. How am I so sure that you would know about the pacer finally tying the knot? It’s all over social media. While Instagram is filled with their beautiful wedding pictures reposted a million times, Twitter is flooded with congratulatory messages for the happy couple from fans, followers and the entire cricket fraternity. The wedding looks dreamy, of course, but it was Sanjana’s understated and stunning bridal looks that  simply bowled over everyone, including the bowler himself, we’re guessing.

For the pre-wedding lineup, Sanjana meticulously picked different outfits for each ceremony. Keeping the traditions in mind, she wore a yellow saree for her haldi, a gorgeous green lehenga for mehendi and a vibrant violet number for the sangeet night. For the Anand karaj, which was the main wedding ceremony, a daytime event, she wore floral Sabyasachi lehenga in pastel pink. Jasprit also colour coordinated his attire with his new bride by wearing a pale pink silk sherwani, also by Sabyasachi. Summer brides can take a leaf out of Sanjana’s bridal lookbook and copy the millennial fashion that she aced perfectly. Here are the details of every pre-wedding look and the gorgeous bridal look Sanjana Ganesan sported and managed to clean-bowled us each time.

For the haldi ceremony, Sanjana wore a bright yellow jamdani saree from the clothing label Anavila which had floral motifs and silver zari work. She paired it with a sleeveless off-white blouse to add a modern touch and probably for the ritual of turmeric slathering made easy. She wore big jhumkas from Ritika Sachdev and that’s it. We love this effortless look.

Mehendi

Wearing green seems like the obvious choice for the brides for their mehendi and Sanjana is no different. She was clad head-to-toe in Anita Dongre. Her custom lime green lehenga was hand-painted and featured motifs inspired by Indian forest. She teamed the look with Pinkcity by Anita Dongre and footwear also from Anita Dongre.

Sangeet

Since the sangeet night is exquisitely a fun-filled ceremony, Sanjana switched her soothing pastels and toned-down designs for an exuberant and vibrant purble lehenga from Anita Dongre. She twirled with her groom-to-be Jasprit Bumraj in the gorgeously embellished magenta-purple outfit for the glamorous event.

She became the Sabyasachi bride (who wouldn’t) for the wedding in a hand embroidered pink lehenga with flowers and birds motifs worked on it with a silk floss. The bridal lehenga perfectly complemented the spring-floral themed decor of the wedding which summer brides can take note of. She teamed it with Sabyasachi signature heritage jewellery and minimal makeup.
