Janhvi Kapoor Shares A Haircare Tip Passed Down To Her By Her Mom, Sridevi. It’s The Same Thing Your Mom Has Been Telling You

Raise your hand if you have 99 problems and 98 of them are about your hair and skin. Even if you make peace with the dreadful hairfall, which hurts more than breakup TBH, there are million other hair woes to fight, be it frizz in summer or dandruff in winters. Meanwhile, seeing celebrities making their way into every season with luscious and gorgeous mane makes us wonder what they do to keep their hair that way. The answer is, they also rely on homemade haircare recipes, old age rituals and tips passed down to them from generations. Sure, they have access to a bunch of expensive and cool hair care products, but at the end of the day, they also believe in keeping their hair care routine simple with classic tips. Janhvi can vouch for it, who shared her mom Sridevi’s secret to gorgeous locks, and it’s the thing our moms have been asking us to do since forever.

While talking about the haircare secret her mom swore by, Janhvi said she trusted the good’ol oil massage and it was always a part of her haircare routine. I know! That’s what literally every desi mom stresses on for great tresses. And, seems like celebrity moms aren’t any different. She said, “Mom used to maintain a good routine for her hair which always had an oil massage in it.” She also said that Sridevi only trusted natural products when it comes to treating her hair and skin and stayed away from baddies. “She was strictly against using any of the products which are chemical-based both on the hair and on the skin,” she said.

Not only that, she revealed that her mom made the hair oil herself at home infusing some natural ingredients (read hair heroes) and made sure she pampered her and her sister Khushi’s hair twice a week with the homemade hair oil, too. She said, “A good hair oil massage was Mom’s non-negotiable ritual. Mom would make our hair oil at home with dried flowers and amla, and she’d make sure she gave me and Khushi an oil massage every three days.” Amla is great for hair growth and scalp. Plus, it keeps premature greying at bay. No wonder the Kapoor sisters have envious hair just like their mom.

It’s extremely important to treat your hair with an oil massage since it helps stimulate the hair growth by improving blood circulation. You can use natural ingredients that are good for your scalp and hair. But if that sounds like too much of a task, while juggling work and stuff (we’re all in the same boat), you can incorporate naturally made hair products in your haircare routine such as Mantra Herbal Bhringraj and Hibiscus Hair Oil. It has natural VitaminE, hibiscus, shikakai and bhringraj, all known for their growth-boosting and nurturing properties. And, it also reduces the greys and helps you achieve a fuller mane. A hair oil massage with an organic hair oil can amp up your hair game, trust us–or all the moms, at least, who have been saying the same thing for years now.
