Is It Just Us Or Are Neha Kakkar’s Wedding Lehengas Very Similar To Anushka’s And Priyanka’s From Their Weddings?
Every time there’s a celebrity wedding in town, it seems like all the band baja baraat shenanigan is happening on my social media feed. Case in point, Neha Kakkar’s wedding right now! I mean, I love celeb weddings, hell I live for it but why is it that I keep on stumbling upon their wedding pictures even after the bride and the groom are back from their honeymoon?
I think I saw Priyanka Chopra’s wedding photos for so long that every miniscule detail is still fresh in my mind, probably more than she remembers. Her gorgeous Sabyasachi lehenga, for example, with the sheer dupatta she wore like a long veil while she walked down the stairs. See? Argh! No wonder, I don’t have enough space in my brain to remember where I ‘safely’ kept my driver’s license.
Anyway, the explore section of my Instagram is flooded with the pictures of NehuPreet’s wedding these days. Singer Neha Kakkar got hitched a few days ago with Rohanpreet Singh, hence NehuPreet, and her whole social media clan is going gaga over the ceremony. Neha Kakkar has a very big fan following, Nehearts, she calls them and she is getting all the love from her fandom.
The couple apparently had two weddings—a day wedding at the gurudwara and a night wedding. The pictures are gorgeous, obviously where Neha is sporting a big smile looking stunning in two very different bridal lehengas. But here’s the thing. Both her outfits reminded us of another celebrities’ wedding lehengas (told you it’s hard to forget).
For the gurudwara wedding, she wore a pastel pink outfit by Sabyasachi that was apt for a daytime ceremony. For the night wedding, which was a varmala ceremony, she wore an all-red bridal lehenga. Tell us, do you think her blush pink outfit was strikingly similar to Anushka’s wedding lehenga and the red one looked too much like that of Priyanka’s? Because, same!

The looks if not copied, do look heavily inspired. Some even photoshopped NehuPreet into Virushka wedding to prove a point. The pink lehenga is from Sabyasachi, the same designer who created the bridal outfit for Anushka Sharma. The colour palette is somewhat similar which is why it is taking us of back to the Virushka wedding and the bride’s OOTD. However, the embroidery is completely different and Neha’s lehenga even has a green border details, while Anushka’s was very floral and a darker pink. Neha also ditched the maatha patti and instead wore a jhoomer with a mang tikka.
Talking about the red lehenga, I must say, Priyanka Chopra practically revolutionised bridalwear trend with her monochrome vermillion red lehenga. Before that, we hadn’t seen much monotoned bridal outfits but brides have been opting for this particular look since the Nickyanka wedding. Neha’s bridal lehenga is from Falguni and Shane Peacock and though it is eerily similar to PC’s, a closer look at the outfit will tell you otherwise. Yes, she could have come up with original poses while doing the bridal photoshoot that didn’t give out the stark similarity, but anyway. What we love about the red lehenga look is the bejewelled eyeliner and scarlet red lip. Gorge!
Neha Kakkar’s bridal looks may have been majorly reminiscent of Anushka’s and Priyanka’s wedding OOTD but she made for a stunning blushing bride in both the bridal outfits. Whether they were blatantly inspired by the previous Bollywood weddings or not, she looked beautiful and happy, and that’s what matters.
