Bridal Anklets Are Now Personalised. Here Are Payal Designs You Can Get For Your Wedding

To say wedding shopping is exhausting would be an understatement. I mean, I am a self-proclaimed planner who preps and plans everything and makes hundreds of lists to check off even before a one-day trip, but even I am dreading the day I’d have to shop for my wedding. From gifts to makeup to clothes, the list is so extensive that you tend to forget the little things. Take bridal jewellery for instance. You have toe rings, maang tikka, bangles and a million other tiny jewellery pieces that you put off till the last minute. One of them is your bridal anklets or payals. Anklets are the foot jewellery that can really amp up your bridal look but it is often missed out on and you end up compromising with either a basic chain anklet or wearing your mom’s (nothing wrong with it but you need a statement anklet to show off your henna decorated feet).

We’d like to tell you that bridal anklets are super important part of your bridal look and you don’t have to settle for anything less than a stunning pair of intricate payals for your big day. They not only adorn your feet but also are a traditional jewellery item that’s essential for a bride. The good news is that anklets today aren’t boring or traditional in an obvious way. There are multiple styles with very cute designs, floral motifs and even personalised charms that you can opt for and flaunt gorgeous feet. In case you haven’t shopped for your bridal anklet, wait till you see these OTT payal designs that brides are opting for this season.

The classic 90s payal got reinvented in the 2020 and the chunky designs are prettier and so glamourous. If you are looking for something that’s simplistic but eye-catching, this is it. You can get these in silver or golden and both look equally stunning.

The only memory I have of payals is either my mom wearing a pair for special occasions like festivals and weddings or me dancing to the songs that were dedicated to these dainty anklets and how the sound of it was used as a metaphor to missing your beloved. But that’s about it. I know for a fact that I would totally forget to shop for this traditional jewellery piece for my wedding. But that’s what happens when you are shopping for your bridal jewellery, right. You tend to miss out on the smallest things and it only hits you after one day you’re checking out some cool bride wearing it on Instagram. You definitely cannot miss out on your bridal anklets, especially not when there are such cool options available to make your bridal look even prettier.
