The Wet Hair Look You’ve Got To Try!

By  |

For years I’ve had a personal vendetta against wet hair outside the house. Just the thought of leaving it un-ironed and not being in absolute control gave me the chills. But when we’re faced with the kind of sudden rainstorm conditions we’re living in right now, there’s not much you can do.

Sure you can bun it all up, but it inevitably catches some moisture and you’re left with a halo of frizz. So the style I’m about to suggest takes some courage and a whole lot of attitude!

Kim Kardashian most recently wore the wet hair look to the Video Music Awards, and boy was it a terrific one.

The wet-hair look as been around for years. You’ve mostly seen celebrities sport it on various red carpets and promotional chat shows. It’s definitely one of the easiest styles to try and it takes a little getting used to – the end result is powerful and stylish, and if you can pull it off, no amount of rain can dampen your do.

It’s pretty simple to nail. Blow-dry, iron or curl your hair out. Once that’s done, you need hair gel — quite a lot of it. Take a dollop on your palm and rub it so it spreads evenly. With your fingers, slide it from your forehead to your crown. When you’re going for the wet-look, you could go wet half way and dry for the rest; or even spread the gel through your hair.

Once the gel bit is done, the rest of your hair open, tie it into a chic little knot or even a tight braid. Another option would be to part your hair to the side and just slick back the other side with hair gel – whatever works for you.

Once you’re done styling it, spritz some hairspray and you’re good to go!
