The Foundation That Introduced Japleen To Makeup

By  |

Unlike the rest of the #HauteSquad, when it comes to makeup, I fly miles away (did you see what I did there? Fly? Haha no? As a lifestyle writer, you give me a lamp, chicken lollypops, a weekend getaway, or hell…even a box, and you will see me dancing around. But my fabulous beauty writer decided that enough was enough, and I finally needed to adult. I instantly knew what she meant — dipping my toes into the deep, dark world of makeup. Like a scene out of Clueless, she spun her wand with foundation.

Innisfree Long Wear Cushion Foundation (Rs 4,860)

This Innisfree Cushion Compact Foundation was chosen as the bearer of my doom, but it pleasantly surprised me. First let me tell you, I agreed to this experiment because of the uber cute cover that I got to choose. But believe me, what comes within the cover is absolutely amaze. Its formula (yes, that’s a technical word) is blendable and the shade matches my skintone to the tee. It’s light on the skin and I don’t actually feel like I am wearing any makeup. Also, it works perfectly on my oily skin.

Pretty much everyone at work was wondering how my skin looked so even overnight. I was tempted to say that I woke up like this, #flawless, but I went with the truth, i.e. the power of makeup. Oh, and I forgot to add that it’s all natural too. Does this mean that I will colour in my face everyday? Not at all. But this is definitely something I can survive with, every now and then. You should give it a go too.
