Reviewed: Thalgo Source Marine 24h Hydra-Marine Serum
Raise your hands if you largely ignored skincare in your teens and held on to your foaming facewash well into your 20s. For me, adulting meant a change in my non-existent skincare regime a couple of years ago. And even then, I stuck to whatever my dermatologist recommended until she would change my products. However, the last few months have made me curious, and as enthusiastic about skincare as I am about makeup (even though makeup continues to be my first love).
While I must admit that I don’t have the patience or dedication to follow a 27-step skincare regimes a la the Koreans, I would definitely like to move beyond the moisturiser-sunscreen regime that I’m following currently. It is getting quite monotonous if I may so myself. While marine ingredients in skincare are in no way new or exotic, I have never used them and so my interest was piqued by the 24h Hydra-Marine Serum from Thalgo.
This brightening serum has a liquid gel-like consistency and gets absorbed into the skin with ease. Enriched with hydra-diffusine, the serum facilitates dermal water to penetrate into the skin’s layers. The effect is intensely hydrated skin that looks and feels plumper and fresher.
The serum is touted to be a tonic for dull, tired skin, and it does not disappoint on that front. The Hydra-Marine Serum is loaded with Lumisource, which boosts the natural detoxification process of skin cells and prevents the skin from looking lacklustre. It also helps your moisturiser work better. Don’t let the price dissuade you from investing in a product that lives up to its claims.
