Editor’s Pick: Bushra’s Bright Fuchsia Lip Crayon
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had oily skin. This meant finding skincare and make-up products that wouldn’t melt on my face, or disappear altogether was a challenge. For the longest time, I steered clear of lipsticks, and lip glosses were my enemies. Clearly, I was no fan of the wet look and that continues to be the case even today. Even though I have grown up fascinated with make-up and could spend hours among cosmetics — spell-bound by the assortment of colours and textures — I could never be bothered with checking my make-up every half an hour. The memo therefore was set in stone — I HAVE to look my fuss-free best.
For a long time I experimented with various eye looks going from the basic black to using every coloured eye pencil I could lay my hands on. Be it a heavy goth eye or a minimalist chic look, I was always game. I couldn’t be bothered about lipsticks because I hadn’t yet found a formula that wouldn’t feel icky against my oily skin. This was until I had a chance encounter with MAC’s Ruby Woo, which being a retro matte red changed my world. No kidding! There has been no looking back ever since. Even though most people aren’t too crazy about the drying effects of matte lipstick, I couldn’t care less. Parched lips I can deal with, but bleeding lipstick? Can’t stand it. So I am always on the lookout for my next fix. Which brings me to the Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick by SUGAR.
SUGAR Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick in Mary Poppins
Crafted for the woman who is unapologetically bold yet approachable, the SUGAR Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick provides excellent coverage and high colour pay off. It is a cool-toned, statement-making fuchsia lipstick. It is intensely pigmented in just two swipes and dries to a powdery matte finish. It feels light on the lip and can easily last upto six hours. It is insanely bright and I totally see myself rocking this with some intense strobing and glossy eyelids!
