Sonam Kapoor’s Violet Lipstick’s Giving Us Them Fall Feels
I don’t know about you girls, but the last few weeks in celebrity beauty have just been way too drab. I mean, there’s no denying that we have spotted some pretty looks, but they have mostly been too basic to write home about. Trust fashionista Sonam Kapoor to shake things up with a look she wore over the weekend at the Melbourne Film Festival. Kapoor wore the yummiest shade of violet on her lips that has us craving for Fall already. Check it out yourself:
The look has been created by none other than ace makeup artist Namrata Soni (but, of course). What is surprising is despite it being a rather daring and gothic shade, Kapoor looks fresh-faced. If you liked her look, here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to recreate it on yourself:
Prep: When it comes to makeup, good skin is half the battle won. While Sonam’s face does not look dewy or glowy, it isn’t matte. Start with hydrating your skin with a light spritz of La Roche Posay Thermal Spa Water. Moisturise your skin with Olay Moisturizing Lotion. Let your skincare products seep into your skin completely.
Prime: It always helps to start with a primer if you want your makeup to last long. Benefit Cosmetics Pore Fessional Face Primer is a great option. Use a medium-coverage foundation like the lightweight Bareminerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation. Use L’Oréal Paris True Match Le Crayon Correcteur to conceal under the eyes.
Eyes: Use the deep brown eyeshadow from Maybelline New York Color Sensational Diamonds Eye Shadow’s Topaz Gold palette all over the lids. Line the lashline with Chambor Orosa Defining 10h Eyeliner Pencil in Black and then soften the edges using either your fingertips or a Q-tip. Apply two coats L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Mascara. Fill in your brows with L.A. Girl Inspiring Brow Kit.
Blush: Add a touch of colour to your cheeks with Girls Night Out from Ciaté London Blush Pop Cremé Blush.
Lips: Add a swipe of L’Oréal Paris Moist Matt Lipstick in the shade Arabian Nights and voila! you are done!
