Reviewed: Lakmé 9to5 Primer + Matte Powder Foundation Compact

What’s the worst part about having oily skin? The fact that a little heat and humidity can turn you into a slime ball instantly! Trust me when I say I have battled the oil mines for years now, and if you guys have been following my chronicles with every beauty product, you will know that I have a special place for matte products — thanks to my skin.

You know what is the one God-send product that us oily folks always keep by our side? It’s a compact powder. Having this little magical tool is so helpful to give you the instant freshness your skin really requires. Step in Lakmé’s 9to5 Primer + Foundation Powder.

This product is 3-in-1 — it has an inbuilt primer, foundation powder, and is said to act like a concealer too. And since I do have a special place for multi-purpose products, I had to give it a try.

Although the formula did create a smooth base in terms of the primer, the foundation, and concealer part let me down a tad bit. I was highly impressed by how lightweight the product was on my face and I totally loved that velvet-like finish.

However, the product’s coverage was rather sheer and didn’t really cover my acne scars, but it seemed like a great choice for everyday wear — especially when you really don’t want to constantly touch up your makeup throughout the day.
