Trend To Try: Peel Off Eyebrow Tattoos
Korean beauty has been making waves for some time now, and it’s only getting bigger. However, let’s admit it, not everyone has the patience to deal with such an exhaustive skincare regime no matter how great it is. I mean I deserve a pat on the back if I wash AND moisturise my face at the end of the day. What’s caught my fancy lately though, is the trend of peel-off makeup that’s hugely popular in Korea.
If drawing in your eyebrows on every day sounds like too much work, and eyebrow tattoos are too much of a commitment, what you should give a shot to is peel-off eyebrow gels. The effect lasts longer than that of brow pencils, gels, and pomades, but isn’t permanent like a tattoo. My Brows Gel Tint from the Korean beauty brand Etude House — known for its innovative makeup and cute packaging — stains brows while making them look naturally thicker. Apparently, the stain lasts a whole week. Huda Kattan of Huda Beauty demonstrates how to use the product in this funny video with her sister Alya.
I think this is a great idea for people who like low-maintenance beauty. However, the thought of having to keep this stuff on two hours before it thoroughly dries (and dyes) is a little off-putting. I mean, I thought this would be a great lazy girl beauty product, but I’m sure even I don’t have the bandwidth to deal with it. However, you can apply this before bedtime and wake up to fabulous brows in the AM. Do remember to sleep on your back, though!
Clio Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow is another popular brow product in Korea. If you have sold over a million pieces, you have to be popular, right? All you have to do is apply the felt-tip marker on clean eyebrows before going to bed. The formula stains your brows while you get your precious beauty sleep, so you will have perfect arches in the morning. You can wash your face normally since the tint will last for a few days. Kill Brow also has a brow mascara on one end that you can use to add some depth, and colour when the tint begins to fade.
