5 NYX Products We Can’t Wait To Get Our Hands On!
I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I was when Sephora launched in Mumbai earlier this year minus a counter dedicated to NYX Cosmetics. If there was one beauty brand I was really looking forward to shopping, it was NYX. The brand is among the most popular drugstore beauty labels internationally, and I couldn’t be happier that it’s finally going to launch exclusively on Nykaa from July 8. And here are the five products I just can’t wait to buy from NYX (I would love to have them all, but the need to survive overrides the need to prettify myself)!
Obviously, I have to start the list with a lipstick! NYX makes some of the best after all. The Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks dry down to a comfortable matte texture with a satin finish. The intensely pigmented lipsticks last up to 8 hours, and are water- and transfer-proof. I love the shade Orange County, which as the name suggests is a cool-toned orange.
Using a regular concealer does not cut it when you have scarring, pigmentation, or dark circles to hide. The Colour Correcting Concealer Palette is the bomb. The creamy, super-blendable concealer is available in 6 shades — peachy-salmon to conceal scars and darkness, green to counteract redness around the nose, purple-lilac to brighten a sallow complexion, yellow to brighten the under eyes, and two skin toned shades for spot concealing. I’ve always been partial to eye makeup and I don’t shy away from colour. The Brights palette from the Ultimate Eye Shadow Palette range has some seriously vibrant shades. I think I just died…they are THAT pretty! I love matte eyeshadows more than shimmery ones. But the NYX palette has just the right mix of 9 matte and 7 shimmer shadows. The eyeshadows are pigmented and aren’t powdery such that they may cause fall out. Besides, I can also use them as eyeliners with a damp brush.
The Butter Gloss from NYX has an amazing buttery, creamy texture that moisturises your lips. Colour, hydration, and a glossy shine sans that cringe-worthy tacky texture of most glosses? I’m on board. Praline is a gorgeous shade of brown with hints of red and I think this is one brown that anyone can carry off.
You can use this illuminator in two ways. You can mix the tiniest drop with your foundation for a lit from within glow or you can use it only on the high points of your face for a spot of strobing. Shut up and take my money already!
