The Illuminator That’s Got Farozan Looking LIT AF!

The Illuminator That’s Got Farozan Looking LIT AF!

You know those girls who always look effortlessly groomed in the morning, with their makeup intact, #OOTD on point, and hair styled to perfection? Yeah well, I’m not one of them. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that leaving the house looking like I haven’t been run over by a truck is an endeavour of Olympic standards, IMHO.

So on days when I feel like preening (which are few and far between, TBH) I rely on lazy girl products that can be applied while I’m still in my early morning semi-comatose stupor and give me results within minutes, if not seconds.

Obviously, this completely rules out any funky eyeshadow, filling in my brows, or even contouring. I mean, you’re only young and grumpy once, no?

My early morning routine usually consisted of hastily slathering my face with sunscreen and applying lip balm, which is promptly followed by complaining about being awake. I would then line my eyes, pick up my lippie du jour, and pucker up for a pout.

That was until my darling beauty writer, Tatiana, introduced me to the shimmering and oh-so-stunning world of highlighters. As someone who is constantly distracted by shiny things, it baffles me why it took me so long to discover the world of nontouring.

L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator (N201 Rose)

My latest obsession is the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator in the shade N201 Rose (quite a mouthful, no?). The super lightweight and blendable formula offers a killer amount of pigment in an easy-to-squeeze tube.

Since it’s an illuminator, you’ll get a softer, more even glow that’s more everyday glam and less kaju katli. But, if you do fall in the camp of glazed beauties who enjoy their highlight strong, I say, you glow girl, but avoid this product.

I j’adore how healthy and radiant I look, thanks to this illuminator that brings out the natural pink undertone in my skin. I’d say it makes me look like I’ve just come back from a good run. Although you and I both know that I would never indulge in such activities. If you’re a bit duskier, or even olive toned, I would totally recommend trying out the shade Golden Dore instead, which works like a dream on Tatiana here.

This illuminator is quite forgiving in my novice, non-makeup artist hands, and blends so easily into your skin, even when you haphazardly apply it with your fingers. Which makes it such a winner for that morning time rush hour, or even when you need to look less like death when you head out for post-work dinner with bae. So go ahead and dazzle the world with a little help from my new favourite illuminator.
