1. Sheer Dewy Skin
Sheer dewy skin, with bare minimum foundation and a touch of sheen, was in the spotlight this season. This can look can be achieved by either evenly spreading out a small amount of hydrating foundation, or by spiking your foundation with a strobing cream or thin moisturiser to dilute it.
2. Pop lips
While nudes were all the rage for the past few seasons, bright popping lips, with clean glowing skin and basic neutral eyes, were the focus of this season’s looks.
3. Hairdos with flowers
Hairdos adorned with flowers was a trend that became major after Anushka Sharma’s wedding back in December. This trend has not died down and is still going strong this season. Brides-to-be, if you want a more natural and fresh look, add flowers as an accessory to your hair.
Whether it is whimsical loose curls, a low bun or an intricate braid, flowers were the hottest accessory on the runway this season. Flowers such as colourful roses, baby’s breath and dandelions were used the most in these looks.
4. Dramatic eyes
The finale show by Monisha Jaisingh saw dewy minimal skin and matte lips. Eyes were the focus of the show. The metallic sheen clothes were paired with maroon eyeshadow swept under the eyes to add depth, sharp winged liner, glitter eyes, fluttery lashes and monochrome liner.
5. Graphic winged liner
The classic winged liner got an edgy makeover this season. It’s now bolder, bigger and colourful! Disha Patani rocked a smokey eye, paired with a graphic liner look for Amit Agarwal’s show. Kangana Ranaut, on the other hand, wore a bold blue-winged liner for the Pankaj and Nidhi show.
6. Pastel eye makeup
Leaving black and white liner behind, pastel as a trend has translated from clothes to makeup. Pastel liner and shadow is a makeup trend from this season that we are totally loving. To nail the pastel eye look, make sure you apply white kajal as the base, in order to make the colour pop on your skin.
7. The blues
When it comes to colour, the one colour that was seen the most blue. From blue smokey eyes, to winged and graphic liner, the colour was seen in Monisha Jaisingh, Kasha, Urvashi Joneja and Pankaj and Nidhi’s show.
