Stop Everything! Huda Beauty’s Liquid Matte Lipsticks Are Here!
Last month, we were super excited to tell you about the launch of Huda Beauty’s liquid lipsticks. Now the wait is over because beauty blogger extraordinaire Huda Kattan is releasing her Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipsticks TODAY! Today also happens to be National Lipstick Day — a day that Kattan has smartly bought the rights to — so there’s seemingly no end to this beauty entrepreneur’s serious business chops! The liquid lipsticks will be available in 16 shades on Sephora.com, which correspond to her Huda Beauty Lip Contour Kits, and from the looks of it they go well with a range of complexions (bless the woman!).

What sets these liquid lipsticks apart is their formula. Enriched with hydrating ingredients like beeswax and olive oil, the lipsticks glide on smoothly and offer brilliant colour pay off in one thin layer. “I created Liquid Matte because I could never find a liquid lipstick that suited my needs. This formula is so light, your lips feel bare, but it gives you a long-lasting, transfer-free finish in shades to die for,” says the beauty mogul in an interview. Besides being long-lasting, the lipsticks smell like vanilla frosting (shut up and take our money already!) and take a little while to dry down to a comfortable matte finish. While this might be a problem for some, I think it’s a good thing because you can correct mistakes with ease.
How much sense does it make to bring out a liquid lipstick when every possible brand under the sun has one of their own? Lots, if it’s under the Huda Beauty label! Don’t believe us? Look at the crowd going berserk at the launch in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on the 27th and the hashtag #NotJustAnotherLiquidLipstick that’s trending on Instagram.

Even though the lipsticks have a hydrating formula, most people with dry lips find liquid matte lipsticks extremely uncomfortable. Here’s what Kattan does to perfect her famous pout:
Excited?? So are we! The lipsticks retail for $20 at Sephora, so be sure to ask your friends in the States or the UAE to cop you a few!
