How To Curl Your Hair With A Straightening Iron

When it comes to hair, your hot tools can be used in a number of different ways. For me, my trusty hair iron is my absolute favourite. It really gets the kinks out, leaving me with soft and super straight hair. Sure I own a curling rod too, but when it comes to giving my hair those soft wavy out-curls, I feel like the straightener does it better.

To curl your hair with a straightening iron, the way you hold the iron plays a big role. It’s also important to keep the iron moving through your hair and not pressed down in one place for too long — let’s try to avoid burning it as much as possible, shall we? Another thing to remember is that your hair needs to curl away from your face, so the direction in which you make the curl should always be outwards.

Lastly, don’t forget your products. A heat protect spray, frizz ease, and hairspray are all important to keep the look in place. Just in case you’re missing any of these, here are some of my favourites:
