Get The Look: Katrina Kaif’s Soft Smokey Eyes, With Accents Of Highlighter

By  |

As Manish Malhotra’s label turned 13, he celebrated with the launch of his new collection “ZWEEN”. For the same, the veteran designer had Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif model his showstopper pieces. Salman was dressed in a black kurta paired with an achkan-style jacket.

Katrina sashayed down the ramp in a brown lehenga that had silver embellishments on it. The itsy-bitsy choli showed off Katrina’s toned torso and made us immediately stop munching on our fries, mid-bite.  The matching lehenga skirt had a broad waist belt and embellishments all over. The look was completed with a cape.

We all know that Katrina is not one to experiment much with her makeup, sticking with nude makeup for the most part. However, for her showstopper moment, Katrina upped the glam quotient and wore a soft smokey eye with accents of highlighter in the inner corners. We broke down the makeup look for you. The toned abs, however, you’re on your own there.

Prep your face with an illuminator

Start by applying a liquid illuminator to give that subtle glow from within. A strobe cream is perfect to start this look off.

Liquid foundation

For an airbrushed and flawless finish, use a liquid foundation as the base. Go for an illuminating or hydrating foundation for that subtle glow.

Bronze & Blush

Use a bronzer to contour your face and give it a chiselled look. Add a subtle hue to your look with a peachy blush. Use a cream blush, as it looks natural and blends easily, practically melting into your skin.

Fill your eyebrows in and brush it in upwards strokes to give them a fuller effect.

Define the crease of your eyes using a warm, brown shade. Fill your lids lightly with a bronze eyeshadow, patting on the product to allow the pigment to fully transfer to the lid. Take the same bronze shadow, and run it along your lower lash line to add depth to your eyes.

A pair of voluminous falsies will complete this makeup look to perfection.

Accents of highlight

Now, using a cool-tone highlighter, apply it to the high points of your face i.e. your cheeks and brow bone. Using the same highlighter deposit a generous amount in the inner corner of your eyes. It opens up your eyes instantly making them look bigger and brighter.

Now apply nude gloss to your luscious pout! To make them appear fuller, concentrate on putting more gloss on the centre of the lips.
